What are you saving for?

Pick a goal and we'll work out the exact monthly SIP to get you there — inflation included.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the target amount higher than what I entered?

You enter the goal in today's money and the planner inflates it to the year you need it. At 6% inflation a ₹1 crore goal 20 years away becomes about ₹3.2 crore — that is the amount your SIP actually has to build, so the plan doesn't silently fall short.

What inflation rate should I use?

General goals: 5–6%, in line with long-run Indian CPI. Higher education: 8–10%, since fees outpace CPI. Healthcare and retirement living: 7–8%. House purchase: 6–8% depending on the city. The planner pre-fills a sensible default per goal type which you can override.

How does the planner treat my existing savings?

Existing savings earmarked for the goal are assumed to grow at the same expected return until the goal year. Their future value is subtracted from the inflated target, and the monthly SIP is calculated only for the remaining gap.

Does NiveshKosh recommend specific mutual funds?

No. NiveshKosh is a planning tool — it suggests an asset-class mix (equity, hybrid, debt) appropriate to your time horizon, not products. Fund selection is between you and a SEBI-registered advisor or your own research.
